Jewish Ideas in Motion with Music, Story, and Study
We’re building a suite of programs that use Jewish song as a gateway to language, ideas, practices, places, and people. We’re early-stage by design: starting with our debut initiative and growing thoughtfully with partners and funders. Expect podcast storytelling now, and soon: live experiences, educator resources, and interactive learning that make Jewish literacy feel vivid, personal, and shareable.
The Jewish Song Show Podcast (debut initiative)
A narrative podcast where each episode follows one song to explore Jewish life across time and place—blending archival sound, story, and scholarship to spark curiosity and belonging. Launching Hanukkah 2025.
The Jewish Song Show Live (planned)
Immersive, on-stage storytelling concerts and post-episode talks that bring each song’s journey to life in partnership with campuses, JCCs, and cultural venues.
Scholars Lab (planned)
A “bench-to-bedside” pipeline connecting Jewish studies and ethnomusicology to public learning—through research collaborations, internships, and training for emerging storytellers.
Ask the Archive (planned)
A source-grounded AI interface that lets you “talk” with historically-informed personas tied to Jewish song—poets, performers, cantors, ethnographers—and follow citations into writings and recordings.
